Sponsorships
Pressalit A/S sponsors a number of organisations, associations and institutions. We do this partly because we, as a large business, think it is only natural to support initiatives in our local area. And also because, by doing so, we associate our company name with events that give a lot of people a lot of pleasure.
Sponsorships also allow us to invite customers and personnel to attend some out of the ordinary events, and thereby cement personal relationships.
Focus areas
Pressalit receives around 400 applications for sponsorship and support every year. There are many good causes that deserve support, and we try to back them up wherever we can. But the sheer volume of applications alone means that we are forced to turn down many of them.
In order to coordinate our sponsorship activities in the best possible way, we have defined a strategy that targets three main focus areas. These are chosen because they complement Pressalit in terms of products and our corporate values. We have therefore tried to establish long-term relationships within these categories, which are:
(1) Disability sport
The majority of our sponsorship budget is by far reserved for disability sport. We have a cooperation with the Danish Sports Organization for the Disabled (Dansk Handicap Idræts-Forbund), and together we have created the Pressalit Sports Academy. In addition, we also have personal sponsorships of top athletes from several nations. We believe it is only natural to contribute to making cultural and leisure activities accessible to the disabled. This is merely an extension of how Pressalit Care contributes to making disabled people's lives at home easier. Furthermore, Pressalit is behind the annual Pressalit's Keep Living Award which is given to the Danish Disabled Sportsperson of the Year. The Keep Living Award embraces the essence of Pressalit Care.
(2) Local activities in Ry
We support a range of activities in Ry where Pressalit is based. In this way, we can contribute to Ry being an exciting and active town to the benefit of Pressalit’s employees and everyone else who lives in the town.
We sponsor individual sports institutions in our local area, which links the Pressalit brand with enjoyment and pleasure.
(3) Culture and design
Pressalit products are known and appreciated for their design. We have won several international design awards, and design has become not only our brand, but also our passion. That is why we have a vested interest in supporting Danish and international design institutions. In addition, we also support certain leading cultural institutions, including Musikhuset Aarhus (Aarhus Concert Hall) and ARoS Aarhus Art Museum.
