1954: Dansk Pressalit Industri A/S founded and production started in Ry.
1962: Decision taken to concentrate on export sales.
1966: Design as a major competitive parameter introduced with the launch of Pressalit Comfort 66, designed by Sigvard Bernadotte and Acton Bjørn
1976: Launch of Pressalit Rehab, bathroom products for the elderly and handicapped
1978: Mogens Boyter takes over running of the company from his father Martin Jensen
1978: Subsidiary established in Germany: Pressalit GmbH
1982: SaniScan A/S established
1988: New plastics factory
1989: New Rehab factory, new fittings factory, new machine factory and design centre
1990: Launch of Multi System and thus a new generation of Care products (Rehab re-named)
1991: New administration-, sales- and info centre – “Maglehøj”.
1993/94: ISO 9001 certification (quality assurance)
1997: ISO 14001 certification (environment)
1998: New warehouse/production hall in Ry
1998: After Mogens Boyter’s sudden and unexpected death, Kim, Dan and Erik Boyter take over the running of the business with Kim as Managing Director
1999: Expansion of plastics factory with canteen, showroom and offices
1999: Awarded “Workplace of the Year” title by trade union SiD
2001:New corporate structure with Pressalit Group as holding company for three independent companies: Pressalit A/S, Pressalit Care and SaniScan
- each with its own mission, vision and management. Newly formulated (common) values set.
2003: Beta System A/S (manufacturer of kitchens amongst other things) brought into the Pressalit Group – as a subsidiary under the Pressalit Care division
2004: Warehouse and despatch relocated from factory on Isagervej to Ry, which during the course of the autumn was expanded to 8,500 m2.
2005: Pressalit Group acquires ESL Industries plc., thus strengthening the position on the UK market.
